CNN reported that Obama is now using his teleprompter at campaign stops, including one at, of all things, a rodeo ring. About what is obviously an effort to curb the numerous gaffes that emanate continuously from The One, Ed Morrissey had the best quip:
But for a campaign that laughably dismissed Palin two weeks ago for using a speechwriter, this seems rather revealing. Palin uses speechwriters, and Obama can’t be separated from his Teleprompter. Maybe they can avoid the whole problem with a Milli Vanilli/Ashlee Simpson approach and have Obama lip-synch the speeches instead.
Considering the fact that Biden has an equal tendency to stick his foot in his mouth, the solution is now evident. Obama should drop Biden for Ashlee Simpson. She has the same amount of executive experience as Obama and only slightly less in the legislative department. She can usually deliver a pretty good performance, as long as her band doesn’t screw things up (the same goes for Barry O). Plus, she might just satisfy the liberal feminist vote.
Or not, considering she’s keeping her baby.
